Our Story
Educating and nurturing children for over two decades.
Founder and Managing Director of Schools Wellbeing Ltd, Lolu Omosebi, has been in the UK education sector for over 25 years. With a career that has seen her work extensively in both primary and secondary schools, in an array of catchment areas, Lolu is truly equipped to educate not only children of all abilities, at all stages of their school career, but of all backgrounds, too.
Having occupied roles from Specialist Teacher in her chosen area of expertise right through to Head of Year, Lolu’s breadth of experience is apparent to all who watch her in the classroom. Her method of teaching is nuanced and all-encompassing: boasting both the fluid, more intuition-based skillset required to implement the more tailored, personalised approach imperative to one-on-one moments with her pupils; as well as an ability to act more as overseer - that is, impart knowledge, then step back and allow the child space to apply it using their own initiative, thus growing both independent learning skills and confidence in their ability.
As well as an expert educator, Lolu is a nurturer. Her first teaching jobs were at schools in some of west London’s most under-privileged areas, where the role of teacher was inextricable from that of pastoral carer. Lolu has carried the knowledge and skills acquired in these experiences throughout her career; and they have not only shaped but are intrinsic to the educator she is, today. Pastoral Care is an area Lolu is both passionate about and experienced in. She has also worked extensively in Behaviour Management; and provided guidance and counselling for innumerable children over the years, including reintegrating numerous excluded children back into schools.
Lolu is driven by the philosophy that “Every child matters”. She thrives on making a difference; and often says that she “never gives up on a child”, striving to get the best out of each that comes her way. All of the above manifests in a unique ability to make every child feel seen - in an education system where increasingly large classes and a dwindling number of teachers means some children can start to feel less important.
Lolu has a Bachelors and Masters degree in Education.
